Nina Ricci Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – Paris Fashion Week
The cute looks and chic of the retro and modern styles are combined within theNina Ricci spring/summer 2014 collectionunveiled atParis Fashion Weektoday. Peter Copping, the creator of this line, did even more than it was expected from him, creating a truly wonderful exemplification of femininity and charm. As always, theNina Ricciwoman radiates sophistication, elegance and grace through ultimately feminine dresses and two-piece outfits that literally take your breath away!
Being put on the stunning white background, the color palette further exposed itself more vividly, reaching colorful watercolor interpretations and monochrome sweet blue shades, at times broken in with some monochrome cream, beige and grey tones. The scrupulousness of the work is revealed within the details, as we have a closer look at those stunning broderie anglais pieces and the other powerful variants of lace and embroidery techniques.
Another peculiarity of the Nina Ricci spring/summer 2014 collection, which creates the vintage touch of many garments are the ruffled elements put at sleeves, halters and collars as well, bringing forth those wonderful jabot elements. The weightlessness of the pieces was raised to such a high level, that it seems like the models are about to fly and not just walk on the runway. This effect was created especially due to the light and delicate fabrics used for the pieces. These fabrics include probably the most suitable one, the chiffon, which is a perfect play pair to the lace and embroidery components.
Talking about the skirts, we see a tendency towards using pleated motives more. The sumptuous and super elegant asymmetrical dresses are the real stars of the Nina Ricci spring/summer 2014 collection. Probably the only floor length apparel of the collection is the breathtaking grey floor length dress, which spoke the pure language of elegance on the runway.
Overwhelmingly, the skirts and the Nina Ricci dresses were cut at the knee and mini length, being cute and very feminine. The floral motives used with chiffon fabric, sometimes combined with a sweet blue shade produced a heavenly effect. The variety of collar variants, including the bow collars and gradually reducing to strapless variations, were an additional and tiny push towards more glamorous and stunning looks.
Another paradise-reminding collection is presented to your attention, dear fashionisers. So be ready to feel encaptured in heaven for some time!
