How to Bathe Your Frog

Although frogs don't need baths, they do get rather dirty at times. It's in their nature. So while your cleaning your frog's container you might notice that your frog is dirty. Follow the instructions carefully and you will bathe your frog properly.

Steps

  1. Fill a container with bottled water.Never use tap water, this is bad for frogs. If you have a tropical frog put the water in a microwave for a few seconds. Make sure it's not hot. The water should be warm or lukewarm. If you have a tropical frog put the water in the microwave for a few seconds. Make sure it's not hot, it should be not warmer than lukewarm.
    • Make sure you only fill the container with a little bit of water. The water should be shallow enough so that the frog can stand in it.
  2. Gently place your frog in the water.Hold you hand above the frog while you're holding it to prevent it from leaping off your hand.
  3. Wash the frog.With your finger, gently rub the frogs back, belly, arms and legs.
  4. Put frog back in it's terrarium.It helps if you've cleaned the terrarium before you let the frog back in it to make sure everything is neat and tidy.
