Cutler And Gross Eyewear: SS14 Collection
British Outdoors-Inspired Eyewear
A number of new shapes and colours have debuted in the spring/summer 2014 collection from Cutler and Gross.
The London-based eyewear brand took inspiration from English garden parties to produce its latest range of frames.
Designers focused on delivering new additions to the four categories of eyewear, which include optical, sunglasses, vintage and collaborations.
One of the new pieces, the Octagonal 1111, reinvents the firm’s famous acetate round style, with the rim set against an octagonal lens.
Other items carry elements of berries, dried flowers and feathers as well as hand-stitched Italian leather arms, blue and green tortoiseshells, and oversized models.
A laminated 3D print technique has been used for the first time alongside further experimentations with colours and materials.
Founded by optometrists Graham Cutler and Tony Ross, the pair introduced their first flagship store in Knightsbridge in 1969.
Cutler and Gross is now stocked internationally by the likes of Mr Porter, Liberty London and Selfridges.
The firm provided the eyewear for several shows at the recent London Collections: Men event, including Agi & Sam, Jonathan Saunders, and Kent and Curwen.
Prices for the SS14 line start from £295. All eyewear is available to purchase now in store and online at .
